The next stage has begun….Lots of progress being made at the Emily Collins School in Kisoro! The supports for the roof slab are going up on the shorter length of the L shaped building. The steel wires have arrived despite the huge increase in the price of steel and the team in Uganda keep working hard? The world and local economy conspires to thwart us but the people keep giving! So a huge ‘Thank you’ to our generous givers and those who sponsor the children too! We will prevail ????❤️
Sometimes I am amazed at how quickly they make progress ... other times I hold my hands up when things take forever and I cry 'Aaaah! then I sigh as I remember, 'TIA' - This is Africa!
The wooden security fence and gates in front of the school were desperately in need of replacing. So, thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters the masons have ordered the stone and have commenced the construction of a much stronger, more substantial and secure...

How exciting… we now have a charity bank account! So, we are ready to start 2026 with the Emily Collins Trust having UK Registered Charity status and a charity bank account with the Cooperative Bank! So, if anyone (who is a UK taxpayer and I guess that is most of us!)...

Damage and breakages can sometimes happen by accident and sometimes it can be as a result of sheer vandalism. Vandalism caused by frustration or jealousy or both. However the window panes were broken, they needed to be repaired... Phew... all done now. [gallery...
